This Easter, something exciting happened at EduFun Technik STEM Hub in Onitsha, Anambra State.
From the first day to the last, children gathered for a special tech camp filled with learning, fun, and creativity. Boys and girls, got hands-on experience with real-world tools like Scratch, robotics kits, Gen AI, and Microsoft Office tools.
They were not just watching. They were building. They were exploring. And most importantly, they were growing.
Learning By Doing: Real Tech Skills for the Future
At Edufun Technik, we believe that learning works best when students can practice what they are taught right away. That’s why our Easter Camp was packed with hands-on activities from start to finish.
The children learned junior robotics, which we call “Robo-Robo,” and took their first steps into the world of Robotics for Kids. They worked in teams to build simple robots and understand how machines work through coding. It was beautiful to see how even the youngest students could connect wires, sensors, and code to make things move.

Next, they explored Gen AI, a beginner-friendly way to understand how machines can “think” and “create.” It gave them an idea of how smart tools work, from chatbots to smart assistants. They asked questions, created texts, and saw how AI tools can be useful for education and work.
Then came Scratch programming. This was one of the highlights. Many of the kids had never coded before. But by the end of the camp, they were building their own games. They designed characters, added sound, and created fun storylines. It was a perfect way to introduce Coding for Beginners in a playful and friendly way.
They also learned how to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. These tools are very important in school and the workplace. The kids used PowerPoint to create their own slideshows. They added photos, text, and animations to explain the projects they built. In Excel, they learned how to input data and grade scores, simple but important skills they can grow with.
Boosting Confidence and Building Communication Skills

At the end of the Easter camp, the students gave presentations. Each group stood in front of their peers, mentors, and parents to show what they built and explain how they did it.
This part of the camp helped them build confidence. Many of them had never spoken in front of a group before. But with the support of their mentors and friends, they did it.
It was inspiring to see these young minds proudly explain how their robot moved or how they scored a quiz using Excel formulas. One parent said, “My child has so much improved ”
This is the power of early exposure. When children, especially girls, are introduced to STEM early, they learn to trust their minds. They begin to believe in what they can do.
Why Early STEM Exposure Matters
Nigeria, like many other countries, needs more scientists, engineers, and tech leaders. And that change starts with children. Giving them access to STEM tools at a young age opens doors. It changes how they see school, life, and the future.
Our founder, Uchenna Onwuamaegbu-Ugwu, also known as the Uchenna STEM Queen, believes that children in every part of Nigeria, urban or rural, should have access to STEM education.
Through projects like this Easter Camp, she is making that dream a reality.
As she often says, “No child is too young to learn technology. They just need the right support.”
That’s what EduFun Technik is doing.
We are creating a space where learning is fun. A space where STEM Education in Nigeria is no longer a dream, but a normal part of every child’s life.
A STEM Hub in Nigeria Making a Difference
The Easter Camp was hosted at our STEM Hub in Nigeria, right here in Onitsha. It’s a place where we teach children coding, robotics, AI, and digital skills.

Over the years, EduFun STEM Nigeria has trained hundreds of students across Anambra State. Our goal is to make STEM accessible to every child, especially those who might not otherwise get the chance.
This camp is part of our wider mission to promote technology and education in Nigeria, especially among girls. We are proud to say that many of our participants this Easter were girls who now dream of becoming engineers, software developers, and tech leaders.
And this is just the beginning.
Final Thoughts
At EduFun Technik, we are not just teaching tech skills. We are planting seeds of hope, confidence, and curiosity.
When we teach a child to code or build a robot, we are helping them see a bigger world. A world where their ideas matter. A world where they can be creators, not just users.
That’s the future we believe in.
That’s the future we are building—one child at a time.
